Recommind's MindServer Technology:
The core technology powering Recommind's MindServer™ platform is based on patented, proprietary machine learning techniques including the Probabilistic Latent Semantic Analysis (PLSA) algorithms developed by Recommind's CTO, Dr. Jan Puzicha. These techniques are the result of the latest developments in academic machine learning research and provide the highest quality content analysis on the market. They power the capability of the MindServer platform to deliver human-level accuracy with the automation of a computer.
The MindServer platform automatically identifies the concepts that describe a document or set of data, regardless of the language or subject. As a result, the MindServer technology is able to automatically understand that words can have multiple meanings (e.g. "Java" in reference to the island and "Java" in reference to the programming language) and that there are multiple ways to express the same concept or query (e.g. "dialogue" and "conversation").
No Training of Agents or Manual Intervention is Necessary
Because the MindServer technology extracts concepts from text on its own, no training or manual intervention is needed to make it useful, resulting in lower deployment and maintenance effort and expense. The MindServer platform can incorporate both implicit and explicit user information to identify communities of users based on interest patterns. As a result, Recommind's core technology can provide personalized information retrieval, recommendation of information, and identification of experts in a fully automated manner.
If additional information structures exist, Recommind's technology can incorporate and leverage the existing work done within an enterprise. Existing information structures such as taxonomies, metadata, controlled vocabularies, and lexicons can be used to provide additional information for Recommind's core technology platform.
