Sophisticated Early Case Assessment — Before Collection Occurs

Additionally, sophisticated search and robust filtering tools identify relevant data for early analysis. Users can then defensibly collect and hold only the necessary data for any given proceeding, thereby dramatically reducing the cost and risk associated with legal holds.

Collect Only What Is Needed

In this early stage analysis, relevant data is identified in its original location without the need to migrate to a central repository. As a result, processing and culling can be done at the document source to expedite the process. In addition to processing, which includes NIST filtering, culling is performed to the individual item level (so for example, only specific e-mails and attachments are returned, not entire Outlook .pst files). As all relevant metadata and full text are extracted as part of this process, costly processing charges are avoided.  Additionally, the significant risk and downstream review costs from over-collection are mitigated.

Proactive Preservation and Hold Management

Insite Legal Hold can be run ad hoc or on a scheduled basis, as desired. Those named frequently in litigation and investigations (e.g. “C” level executives), can be monitored on a scheduled basis.
