a leading provider of enterprise search, automatic categorization and eDiscovery systems for law firms and enterprises announced today that it experienced record-setting customer and revenue growth in 2007 while doubling the size of the company’s workforce to meet overwhelming customer interest. Recommind’s record-setting year was fueled by immediate traction of the company’s new solutions, Decisiv™ Email and Axcelerate™ eDiscovery, and the development of myriad new strategic alliances with technology, litigation support and consulting partners, which will drive momentum for Recommind’s continued success in 2008. Additionally, Recommind today announced the appointment of Georges Sabongui as Vice President of Worldwide Sales. “Additionally, we are delighted to report that Recommind had another record setting year in 2007,” said Robert Tennant, Recommind’s CEO. “As evidenced by our ability to sign on marquee customers and partners across all product lines, Recommind is clearly being recognized as the leading vendor of conceptual search and auto-categorization solutions to global law firms and legal departments. The momentum we have built during 2007 puts us in perfect position to maintain our tremendous growth rate in 2008 and beyond.”
Highlights from Recommind’s 2007 include:
- Record Customer and Revenue Growth: Continued success in the legal market, in which Recommind maintains leadership status among the world’s largest law firms and legal departments, fueled dramatic revenue growth in 2007. This year, numerous Fortune 500 enterprises and leading global law firms selected Recommind’s solutions, including Novartis AG, Bracewell & Giuliani LLP, Shook, Hardy & Bacon LLP and Field Fisher Waterhouse, as their core information and expertise access solution.
- Key eDiscovery Alliances Formed: Recommind announced product integrations and strategic alliances with leading review eDiscovery platform vendors in the space. These partners include iCONECT™, FTI/Ringtail™ and Anacomp™, makers of the CaseLogistix™ review platform. These alliances allow legal departments and law firms to enjoy all of the benefits of Recommind’s industry-acclaimed Axcelerate eDiscovery application alongside or within the legacy platforms to which attorneys have grown accustomed, thus maintaining the same workflows and processes. In 2008, Recommind will announce numerous agreements with top consulting and litigation support firms, extending Recommind-powered solutions to Fortune 500 enterprises in both on-site and hosted environments.
- Wide Industry Recognition: Recommind received a “Positive” rating in Gartner Group’s first-ever eDiscovery MarketScope, following a very successful launch of the Axcelerate™ eDiscovery document review and analytics platform. Additionally, Recommind was again positioned in the “visionaries” quadrant of the Information Access Technology Magic Quadrant from Gartner Group. This recognition validates Recommind’s unique, highly effective approach to addressing complex Knowledge Management, eDiscovery and regulatory compliance challenges with the industry’s most powerful conceptual search and auto-categorization technology. In 2007, KM World also again named Recommind to its list of the “100 Companies that Matter in Knowledge Management” for the fourth consecutive year.
- New Products and Integrations: Recommind introduced several game-changing products in 2007, including Decisiv™ Email, which automatically tags, organizes, and files critical unstructured email-based data and delivers up to 500 percent in storage savings over traditional e-mail archiving systems. Decisiv Email was followed by the introduction of Axcelerate™ eDiscovery, a revolutionary automatic coding, review and analysis product which improves the way litigation review and analysis is conducted with its unique First-Pass Review™ and One-Click Coding™ functionality. The company also released the latest version of Recommind’s flagship MindServer™ enterprise search platform which brings the full potential of federated content to organizations with the high relevancy, intuitive navigation and strong security Recommind customers have enjoyed for years.
- Company Expansion: In addition to today’s appointment of Mr. Sabongui as VP of Worldwide Sales, Recommind doubled the company’s overall employee count and continued to attract top talent to its ranks during 2007, adding David Baskin to the executive staff as VP of Product Management. The company also opened new offices in Boston and Chicago to support continued expansion in North America. To meet overwhelming customer interest, Recommind expects employee headcount to again double in 2008.
