Enterprise Search Company's Rapid Growth Attracts Top Talent to Extend Industry Leadership Position

SAN FRANCISCO, December 13, 2006 – Recommind, a leading enterprise search and categorization company, today announced the expansion of its management team to support the company's rapid adoption among large legal and enterprise customers. Recommind named Craig Carpenter as vice president of marketing and business development, Anne Kroger as director of U.S. operations, and Peter Charles as director of professional services. The three appointments will allow Recommind to continue executing its mission of enabling law firms and enterprises to better meet their complex information access and search needs, while delivering high-quality professional services to a rapidly growing customer base.

As vice president of marketing and business development, Mr. Carpenter will oversee all aspects of the company's positioning, marketing communications, product marketing, and partnership programs with technology vendors, consulting companies, and OEM partners. As a licensed attorney, recognized thought leader in the legal technology industry, and a frequent speaker at industry events, Mr. Carpenter will focus on extending Recommind's leadership position in the legal market. Mr. Carpenter is also an adjunct professor at the University of San Francisco, where he teaches graduate classes on high tech marketing, content management, and digital rights management (DRM). Mr. Carpenter joins Recommind from Mirapoint, a leading messaging and information security vendor, where he served as senior director of corporate marketing and global channels. Mr. Carpenter began his career as a corporate litigation attorney with Ropers, Majeski, et al, where he helped protect the interests of multi-national clients.

Ms. Kroger brings more than 15 years of experience to Recommind, where she will direct U.S. operations with additional responsibility for overseeing the company's financial matters. Ms. Kroger has extensive operational, financial and business experience in the technology sector. Prior to joining Recommind, she served as vice president of finance for Embarcadero Technologies, and spent several years in Europe as executive director for Advanced Digital Information Corporation and senior director for Concur Technologies. Ms. Kroger is a CPA and formerly an auditor with Deloitte and Touche.

Mr. Charles has been appointed as director of professional services, a position to which he brings extensive knowledge of Recommind's MindServer platform. Mr. Charles will lead Recommind's rapidly expanding professional services group based in San Francisco. Mr. Charles brings more than eight years of business and IT project management experience to Recommind, from prior positions at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and Morgan Stanley. He earned a master's degree in information science from the University of California, Berkeley School of Information (iSchool).
