Jason Robman
Assistant General Counsel
Jason Robman is Assistant General Counsel at Recommind Inc., an enterprise search, e-discovery and e-mail management software company headquartered in San Francisco, CA. Jason provides market strategy and positioning, messaging, lead generation, channel development/marketing, pricing, strategic alliances, international and domestic distribution, contract drafting, review and negotiation, international law, and corporate law. Jason is also a member of the EDRM Project (Search Sub-Committee).
Prior to joining Recommind, Jason was with the consulting firms, FTI Consulting Inc., LECG and Navigant Consulting where he focused on complex litigation matters, securities litigation, antitrust matters, internal corporate investigations, and electronic data analysis and computer forensics engagements. He also assisted clients involved in antitrust and merger issues, intellectual property theft, securities investigations, FCPA investigations, MTBE litigation, and other types of class action litigation.
Jason’s experience includes several years of conducting internal investigations while employed in Bank of America’ Regulatory Investigations Group on a variety of securities related issues. In this role, Jason supervised large scale investigations involving the global corporate and investment bank activities in equity and debt trading, prime brokerage (hedge funds), mergers and acquisitions, syndicated finance, equity research, public finance, private equity, broker-dealer services, and retail wealth management.
Jason’s experience also includes over five years of civil discovery, commercial litigation, commercial transactional work, real estate litigation and creditors’ bankruptcy rights. As a litigation associate, Jason drafted, reviewed, and negotiated various agreements for corporate clients including licensing agreements, real property leases, financing agreements, and related business transactional documents. He developed and cultivated a personal client book, and he handled cases from initial client interview through trial, settlement, and bankruptcy resolution.
Jason holds a Juris Doctorate degree from the Golden Gate University School of Law and a B.A. in political science from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
