SQA Engineer Search Solutions (Bonn, Germany)
As we are experiencing tremendous growth in demand for our products, we are looking to build a development team working in tandem with the main Recommind engineering group in Germany. An associated SQA engineer will likewise be responsible for tests on the software developed by this team in close collaboration with our main QA team. You will
- be responsible for the overall quality of our search solution products during the complete development cycle, starting from the requirements definition process until the software is delivered to the customer
- prepare a test plan and design test cases for the products
- organize, manage and perform functional and non-functional tests
- monitor and report progress to all interested parties and escalate issues as required
- produce test reports during and at the end of the test phase
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a test design role or similar experience
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Competence in both Unix and Windows environments
- A good knowledge of test tools and effective testing techniques
- Ability to monitor and report on progress
Nice-to-Have:
- Familiarity with search and retrieval technologies helpful
- Experience of non-functional testing and the supporting tools
- Knowledge in Java, Ant, shell scripts, Perl, AWK, CVS and SQL
