Bob Tennant
Chief Executive Officer
Bob Tennant is the Chief Executive Officer at Recommind, where he is responsible for all operational and strategic business initiatives. Prior to joining Recommind he served as the managing director of Swiftsure Capital and in senior positions in the Java Software division of Sun Microsystems, where he led the marketing of the Java platform into consumer electronics. Mr. Tennant came to Sun through the acquisition of Beduin Communications, "one of Canada's hottest start-ups" in the Fall of 1998. Mr. Tennant was a co-founder of Beduin and served as CEO and President until its acquisition.
Mr. Tennant is a board member of several successful young companies and a graduate of the University of Victoria, the University of California at Berkeley, and Columbia University, from which he has an MBA.

Dr. Jan Puzicha
Chief Technology Officer (Co-Founder)
Dr. Puzicha is the Chief Technology Officer at Recommind, where he is responsible for translating abstract research into Recommind's highly scalable product line. He is an expert in real-time information optimization and statistical modeling. Previously, he held a research fellow position in the Computer Science Department at UC Berkeley, where he worked on machine learning problems and cutting-edge research in graphical models and computer vision.
Dr. Puzicha holds a Ph.D. from the University of Bonn, where he graduated with honors. His strengths lie in his ability to turn mathematical models and algorithms into working industrial products.

Derek Schueren
GM Information Access & Governance (Co-Founder)
Derek Schueren is a Co-Founder and General Manager of Information Access and Governance at Recommind. As a co-founder of Recommind, Mr. Schueren helped build the company into a market leader for enterprise search, categorization, and information risk management software. Mr. Schueren has extensive experience working with Fortune 500 enterprises, global law firms and technology partners in the areas of eDiscovery and information access. He is a frequent speaker at industry events and has been named one of the top 100 Global Tech Leaders by Citytech Magazine. Prior to co-founding Recommind, Mr. Schueren was at S & T World Products where he held several senior positions in sales and operations.
Mr. Schueren holds a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry & molecular biology from Brown University and a Masters degree from the University of Oregon.

Anne Kroger
Chief Financial Officer
Anne Kroger is the Chief Financial Officer at Recommind. She has extensive financial, operational and business experience in the technology sector for both public and private companies. Prior to joining Recommind, Ms. Kroger most recently served as Vice President of Finance for Embarcadero Technologies, and spent several years in Europe where she held positions as Executive Director for Advanced Digital Information Corporation (now Quantum Corporation) and Senior Director for Concur Technologies. Ms. Kroger is a CPA (inactive) and formerly was an auditor with Deloitte and Touche. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin- Madison.

Craig Carpenter
Vice President of Marketing
Craig Carpenter, Vice President of Marketing, oversees all aspects of marketing at Recommind. Mr. Carpenter has extensive experience in the enterprise software, information security, and eDiscovery industries, and is a frequent speaker and panelist at industry events. Mr. Carpenter is also an adjunct faculty member at the University of San Francisco where he has taught graduate classes on high tech marketing, content management and digital rights management (DRM). Prior to Recommind, Mr. Carpenter was Senior Director, Marketing at messaging leader Mirapoint before which he was Senior Director, Global Channels & Field Marketing at information security leader Fortinet. Mr. Carpenter began his career as a corporate transactional and litigation attorney with Ropers, Majeski, et al, where he helped guide startups from formation through periods of rapid growth.
Mr. Carpenter received his MBA and JD degrees from Santa Clara University and his BA in history and political science from UCLA. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of the UCLA Venture Capital Fund.

Georges Sabongui
Vice President of Worldwide Sales
Georges Sabongui, Vice President of Worldwide Sales, is responsible for driving Recommind's revenue and leading the sales team in assisting Fortune 2000 corporations and AMLaw 100 firms with their knowledge management and electronic discovery projects. Mr. Sabongui possesses more than 15 years of sales experience in the software and SAAS markets, with a proven track record of building teams and exceeding revenue goals. Prior to joining Recommind, Mr. Sabongui served as Senior Director of Discovery Management and Content Archiving Sales for ZANTAZ/Autonomy where he expanded the sales team, increased the focus on Fortune 500 clients and grew sales. Mr. Sabongui was also a major contributor to the Discovery Management product strategy. Mr. Sabongui also previously served as Director of NA Sales for CaseCentral and as Vice President NA Sales and Services for Corel.
Mr. Sabongui holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing and International Business from the University of Ottawa.

David Baskin
Vice President of Product Management
David Baskin, Vice President of Product Management, is responsible for the development and delivery of high quality technology products to address the most challenging enterprise search, information management and eDiscovery needs of enterprises, professional service firms and law firms. Mr. Baskin has played a leading role with the EDRM Project (www.edrm.net), a highly influential industry group tasked with creating and maintaining standards for the eDiscovery industry, and will continue his leadership of the XML Schema Project in his position with Recommind. Prior to joining Recommind, Mr. Baskin was the leader of eDiscovery product management at ZANTAZ (an Autonomy company), where he was responsible for strategy and product direction. Prior to his tenure at ZANTAZ, Mr. Baskin served as a Vice President of Research and Development at Daticon, a litigation software and services company. Previous to Daticon, he founded and ran Baskin Consulting, a specialized consultancy providing R&D expertise across multiple industries.
Mr. Baskin earned his BA from the University of Rhode Island and holds an MBA from Babson College.

Keith Bernstein
Vice President of Professional Services and Support
Keith Bernstein is the Vice President of Professional Services and Support, where he is responsible for all professional services and customer support. Prior to joining Recommind, Mr. Bernstein served as a senior manager at ZANTAZ where he worked to design the overall EDD processing strategy and managed its development. Mr. Bernstein also managed key strategic partnerships in his role. Prior to ZANTAZ, he worked for Daticon where he held the position of VP of Consulting Services. During his tenure at Daticon, Mr. Bernstein started as the lead Software Engineer on the company's document management system before taking over management of the consulting and support functions.
Mr. Bernstein has a BS degree in MIS, a Masters in Software Engineering and is a Certified Computer Examiner CCE.

Hartwig Laute
Director of European Operations
Hartwig Laute is the Managing Director of Recommind GmbH in Bonn, Germany. He is responsible for overseeing European operations in software and business development. Prior to joining Recommind, Mr. Laute was chief operating officer with BauGrund, a German urban development company, where he had previously held senior positions in a variety of functions.
